Regattas
The Nelson Sprints Regatta, July 25, 2009 atLakeside Park, Nelson, B.C.,
Canada. This is a Rowing BC and RCA sanctioned event.
Please join us for a weekend of competition, rowing and socialiing on beautiful Kootenay Lake at Nelson.
Our regatta itinerary is as follows:
- Check In: Friday, July 24th at Lakeside Park. Come to the NRC Boathhouse to confirm registration between 5 and 8 pm. Assistance with re gard to parking trailers and unloading boats will be available.
- Saturday, July 25th, Coach's Meeting: 6:30 am at the Lakeside Park BBQ Shelter. A light breakfast buffet will be available for rowers, officials and volunteers from 6:30-8:30.
- Races: All events are 1000m. First race is scheduled for 7am.
Entries: All categories are welcome. Junior A,B,C. Open. Master's A-E and Novice. We are planning to host events for 1X, 2X, 4X and 4- for Men, Women and Mixed events. Awards will be distributed following the races on Saturday.
Further details: An entry fee of $30 per competitor includes unlimited race entries, nutritional snacks Saturday morning, BBQ Saturday afternoon and a Nelson Sprints Regatta souvenir.
