The Nelson Rowing Club

is a non-profit community rowing club

located at Lakeside Park in beautiful

Nelson, British Columbia.

Founded in 1896, the NRC offers recreational rowing for all ages, a learn to row program for novice rowers, as well as its annual regatta the Nelson Sprints.

The NRC acknowledges that our rowing activities are in, and our boathouse is on, the traditional, unceded territory of sn̓ʕay̓ckstx Sinixt Arrow Lakes and the Yaqan Nukij Lower Kootenay Band peoples.

COME AND TRY! Free!

Saturday August 20th and Sunday August 21st

10am - 1pm, at our boathouse in Lakeside Park

With support from the Nelson Community Services we are offering free Come-and-Try rowing sessions. Drop by for 30 minutes to get out on the water!

We are specifically trying to reach women and girls (9+) that are interested in being active and would like to discover rowing and don't have the financial resources to get involved.

Following the initial free Come-and-Try, participants can register for free Learn-to-Row program to learn the basics of rowing over 3 to 6 lessons. This is a unique program made available through a grant from Community Sport For All and Rowing Canada
